    Diamond-Tex is owned and manufactured by Martin Limestone, Inc., a subsidiary of New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company, Inc. Founded in 1933 in Lancaster County, PA, Martin Limestone, Inc. started as a small quarry near Blue Ball, PA by Ivan M. Martin and his wife Irene. They began producing crushed stone and in 1940 entered the ag-lime business in Lancaster, Berks, and Chester Counties.

In 1959 the company opened a new quarry near Gap, PA and incorporated the plant as Limeville Quarries, Inc.

On March 1, 1975 significant corporate changes occurred when New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc., purchased Ivan M. Martin, Inc., Limeville Quarries, Inc., and New Holland Concrete Products, Inc. At the same time a new corporation, Martin Limestone, Inc. was formed through the merger of the three divisions.

On February 1, 1982 Martin Limestone, Inc. purchased David M. Burkholder, Inc. The operation included a limestone quarry, an asphalt plant, and a paving construction business. This became the Burkholder Paving division of Martin Limestone, Inc.

In 1994 Martin Limestone, Inc. purchased the Diamond-Tex® trade name and some existing processing equipment from Simon Zook, who had been manufacturing Diamond-Tex infield mix since 1957. The original equipment was moved to the Limeville Quarry and today’s Diamond-Tex Infield Mix is still produced at that location, although the production equipment has been greatly updated to an efficient and modern manufacturing plant.

In 1996 Martin Limestone, Inc. purchased the A.G. Kurtz and Sons quarry, ready mix concrete plant, and asphalt plant near Denver, PA.

In 1998 Martin Limestone, Inc. purchased the Valley Forge Stone Company which sets on a ridge of the Welsh Mountain between Honey Brook and Morgantown, PA. The Valley Forge Stone site produces quartzite sand and stone used in concrete block production, septic systems, and specialty uses such as golf course bunker sand.

In January 2000 Martin Limestone, Inc. purchased Narvon Mineral Products, a 134 acre clay mine located in Narvon, PA.

In 2001 Martin Limestone, Inc. purchased Welsh Mountain Building Stone, a small quarry adjacent to Valley Forge Stone.

Martin Limestone, Inc. now includes Martin Limestone Quarry Division which includes crushed stone products, ag-lime, and Diamond-Tex, New Holland Concrete, Burkholder Paving, Valley Forge Stone which produces a white quartzite stone and sand product, Narvon Minerals, and Fleet Services. Martin Limestone, Inc. serves a wide variety of customers including builders and contractors, homeowners, farmers, manufacturers, architects and engineers, the golf course industry, horse track and stable owners, and athletic field groundskeepers.
